Nine students from the Creativity and Business Innovation program had the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program in Budapest, Hungary. The program was hosted by BGE between 23-24 March 2023 and focused on topics such as Intercultural Communication, Negotiation Skills, and Startup Pitch. Daniel, a first-year student, shared his experience in the program and how it allowed him to explore his interests in these areas.
Daniel was primarily attracted to the Erasmus+ BIP due to its focus on topics that fascinated him, such as intercultural communication, negotiation skills, and entrepreneurship. Moreover, the opportunity to explore Budapest, a city renowned for its rich culture and history, greatly appealed to him. Being an avid traveler, Daniel eagerly seizes any chance to explore the world.
During the BIP, the days were filled with engaging and diverse activities. Mornings and some afternoons were dedicated to lectures and interactive exercises centered around the program’s themes. This allowed participants to learn and practice concepts related to intercultural communication, negotiation, and startup pitching. The program also included guided trips, including the Explore Budapest Activity, which gave participants the chance to immerse themselves in the city. Although free time was limited, it was enough to accomplish everything Daniel wanted to do in Budapest. He particularly enjoyed the well-preserved buildings and old castles, as well as the vibrant atmosphere and diverse people throughout the city.
One of the most unforgettable moments for Daniel during his time in Budapest was standing in awe in front of the Hungarian Parliament Building. Its grandeur, intricate details, and overall architectural beauty left a lasting impression on him. Additionally, visiting Dracula’s Castle was an experience that will stay with him for a long time. „It felt like stepping into a scene from a Disney movie or even being in Disney World itself,“ he describes.
Daniel puts it simply: „Would I recommend this program? Absolutely, I would wholeheartedly recommend the Erasmus+ BIP to other students. The program offers a fantastic blend of academic learning and cultural exploration. The knowledge gained through the lectures and the experiences in a new cultural setting is invaluable. The Erasmus+ BIP experience provided me with many benefits. I gained new insights and practical skills in different subjects. But moreover, the experience expanded my perspective by immersing me in a different cultural setting.”
The program was funded by European Union Erasmus+ program.
