Hello, I am Victoria Amarachi Ude, a second-year student at the Estonian Entrepreneurship
University of Applied Science, where I am studying Software Development and
Entrepreneurship. Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+
program in Klaipeda, Lithuania. This program focused on Digital Marketing and Brand
Management, spanning online from September 25 to 29th online, followed by the physical
component from October 2nd to 6th.
As a software development student, I’m learning to create efficient technologies like
websites, apps, and other services, and how to leverage them for businesses. I firmly
believe that learning how to manage tech brands through various marketing strategies is
essential. This knowledge is crucial not only for the success of businesses but also for
growing my personal brand as a software developer. Thus, I joined this program with the
goal of acquiring the skills to attract the right audience and effectively use marketing
strategies in my tech career.
My time in Klaipeda was truly exceptional. Each day, I commuted to the university via public
transport, taking a short 6-10 minute drive from my accommodation. Before classes, we
were provided with breakfast coupons for the 10 Tiltu Cafe, conveniently located right across
from the university. Our daily schedule typically included classes starting at 10 am, a lunch
break around 12:30-1:30 pm, followed by workshops from 2 pm, concluding the day by 3-4
pm.
During the physical component of the program, we had the opportunity to explore the
charming Old Town. In our free time, we ventured to the Akropolis Mall and visited an Asian
store not far from the university and cafe in the Old Town. Additionally, we had the privilege
of visiting the Lighthouse for a fascinating Neuromarketing exhibition. Despite the
unpredictable weather, we managed to have a great time throughout our stay.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this experience was the people I met. I had the
pleasure of connecting with individuals from various countries and forming new friendships
and valuable connections. Exploring Klaipeda and its surroundings with this diverse group of
people made the experience even more enriching.
Klaipeda, Lithuania, is undeniably a beautiful place to visit. It boasts numerous charming and
aesthetic cafes and restaurants. During my stay, I relished the opportunity to savor popular
Lithuanian dishes, including the delightful borscht.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend fellow students to participate in the Erasmus+
Program. It offers an exceptional chance to gain academic insights, broaden horizons by
meeting people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and explore captivating
destinations. Personally, I found the program’s focus on digital marketing and finance
lectures, as well as the overall experience in Klaipeda, incredibly rewarding. It truly was an
amazing adventure.
