Last year, I made the decision to embark on an exchange study year in France. However, the university I selected had classes scheduled from September to February, followed by an internship period. In order to make the most of my time abroad and complete the full year, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to pursue an internship as well.
I consider myself incredibly lucky because the internship placement was offered by the same university where I was studying. This meant that I didn’t have to go through the challenging task of finding a placement myself. Consequently, I spent two months at Amiens Business School – ESC Amiens, working in the International department. My main objective was to develop a marketing plan aimed at attracting more Erasmus+ and international students to ESC Amiens. As part of this project, I played a role in enhancing the school’s English website, creating a new fact sheet for the institution, and improving and updating the course catalogue. Additionally, I contributed to promoting international exchanges to students. Choosing to have an internship abroad has been a truly rewarding experience for me. It provided me with a valuable opportunity to gain insights into how different cultures operate and broaden my global perspective. Beyond the professional growth and academic accomplishments, my time in France was an adventure in itself. I encourage everyone to consider having an exchange semester or an internship abroad.
